One Phone Call

It’s been two months since you and your brother’s best friend ended your secret relationship. Two long, agonising months–at least for you. You wouldn't know what he’s been going through because he completely disappeared from your life after he ended things. You’ve been trying to catch your breath ever since. Skipping work, late nights, drinking too much… you can feel the spiral, but can’t seem to rein yourself back in, and the only person you know who could is gone.

You swore you’d never call him again. Never. But when a few too many drinks and one spectacularly bad decision land you in a jail cell, you use your one phone call on him. When he shows up with that familiar look in his eye, you’re not sure if it was a good decision or not.
