As The Clock Strikes

It has been days since your less than graceful departure from the castle and your Prince Charming. Try as hard as you might to act as if nothing ever happened, your step mother has noticed how you constantly look out the windows as if you’re waiting for someone. She has become harsher and cruller in her treatment of you. You start to realize that perhaps she suspects you of lying when you swore you never left the house during the Prince’s birthday celebration. Moreover, you begin to fear she has an inkling you were the woman who had the prince enraptured.
