You never should’ve touched that notebook. He’s your roommate’s friend, you guys have always had a good time together, a flirty line astray here and there, you never assumed he really had a proper thing for you. One second you’re trading jokes with him like you always do, the next he’s snapping, confessing things he swore he’d never say out loud. What starts as banter spirals into rage, guilt, and something you can’t laugh away this time. He wants you - messy, desperate, furious at himself for it - and when he finally pulls you down onto the couch, there’s no more hiding. He wants you to believe every word, and this time you can’t pretend you haven’t heard him. It’s all the notes that were left unread.
